"Beautiful place set by lake outside the town of Puumala. It was a very peaceful and serene setting, a great place to go to get away from busy cities. I would say that the staff were friendly rather than warm and helpful."

"The apartment was lovely. Perfect for a family of 4\. The hotel information could be updated to provide clearer information about additional costs, like linens, transport from rail/airports, which train station is actually closest. A folder including I for on the area would be nice, too, for first time visitors to the area. Still, Markku provided information quickly when we emailed. "

"I was met by the owner Passi who was waiting for me. I had booked into one of the apartments but wes told that I was staying in one of the cottages by the lake. Passi took me to the cottage which has its own wood burning sauna and stunning views looking out to Lake Orivesi. It was really peaceful and it has its own private beach and a rowing boat plus a swing which I must admit I spent quite a bit of time on there. The centre of Kitee is about 20 minutes away in a car so if like me you do not...

"I loved staying here. The staff was really helpful, the room was clean and bright with the a view of the lake. I even saw the northern lights from my balcony! The sauna and pool were very nice and clean. I loved the bright windows for the pool. I had breakfast and supper and both were delicious. A good breakfast spread and the supper menu and service was very good. I would highly recommend this hotel."
